Su-Chen “Susanna” Chang              -Born 8 December 1933; Died 30 October 2006-

Su-Chen Chang was born in Taipei, Taiwan on December 8, 1933. Her father was the Reverend L.S. Shaw and her mother was Mia Chen. She was the third of six children: S.B. Shaw, Enchin Shaw Chen, Tony Shaw, June Shaw Yang, and Tse Sun Shaw.

She has two grandchildren, John Chang Wilson (14) and Jessica Chang Wilson (12), who were the apple of her eye.

Mrs. Chang lived life to the fullest while always thinking of the welfare of others. Whenever anyone needed help, she was sure to arrive. When someone was hungry, she fed them. If they needed a place to stay, she provided lodging. When they were sick, she came to them. After her family, the great joys of her life included her piano, her arts and crafts, cooking, and traveling. She often combined these all at the same time as she traveled to visit family and then cooked for them and played the piano for them.

For Mrs. Chang, visits to family were the highpoints of her life. She was very close to her sisters, her children, and her many cousins and loving friends all over the United States, Taiwan, and even Japan.

Any home with Mrs. Chang inside was a boisterous and friendly place. She made everyone feel happier and more alive when she was with them. She was like a light to the family. Now that light is gone, and we know that she would now want us to be a light to the rest of the world.
